Brisbane Festival is Queensland’s premier annual arts and entertainment event of the year! Don’t miss out on the exciting line-up as Brisbane Festival brings the entire city alive with a captivating and amazing indoor and outdoor program. The festival has everything from theatre, music, dance, cabaret, plays, installations, circus, opera and major public events such as Sunsuper Riverfire.
Boasting three big weeks of arts and entertainment, there are a variety of both FREE and ticketed events, with something for everyone including adults only events and also those for the kids and family.
On the 28th of September, Brisbane Festival, will wrap up for another year with Sunsuper Riverfire. The night sky over Brisbane will be lit up to celebrate the culmination of what has become a globally recognised arts and cultural festival with a massive fireworks display launched from city rooftops, river barges and several bridges.
This year the fireworks will be accompanied by a soundtrack that celebrates 1989, the year of the first Riverstage. There will also be aerobatics displays by the Australian Defence Force.
