Brisbane is one of the event cities for the Commonwealth Games GC2018 and will be hosting the Shooting and Track Cycling events, with the Games commencing on 4 April 2018.

Featuring the largest integrated sports program in Commonwealth Games history, the GC2018 will comprise of 18 sports and seven para-sports. The Games attracts over 6,600 athletes and team officials from 70 Commonwealth nations and territories.

One of the blue ribbon events, track cycling will be hosted at the Anna Meares Velodrome at Chandler and the shooting is at Belmont Shooting Centre, Belmont in Brisbane. If you’re coming as a spectator for either of these events, Brisbane is a fantastic vibrant city to base yourself during the Games, and either before or after the Games, to explore what the city has to offer.
