From the 20 – 23 December South Bank in Brisbane will come alive with some amazing Christmas celebrations. Why not visit one or more of the five fabulous Chrissie activities listed here, which are perfect for young and old alike? 1 – Carols Extravaganza
Grab the family and head down to Carols Extravaganza. You’ll be able to sing your heart out to your favourite Christmas Carols. Be entertained by amazing voices, acrobatic aerialists and captivating ballet performances. There will be a wonderful Chrissie production complete with film, songs, dancing and a special guest appearance by Santa Claus. Don’t forget to buy your tickets to one of the eight amazing performances, being held over four nights.

2 – Christmas Fireworks Spectacular
Be amazed as spectacular Christmas fireworks light up the night sky over the Brisbane CBD, and the colours are playfully reflected onto the Brisbane River. The best views are from Clem Jones Parade, Streets Beach and River Quay.

3 – Say ‘Hi’ to Santa
Meet Santa – for free when he has a stopover at South Bank Park lands amidst twinkling light installations! Santa Claus will be spreading Christmas cheer from his illuminated home. You’ll have the opportunity to have your photo taken with him and of course to let him know what you’d love for Christmas!

4 – Storytelling and craft
Once you’ve said hi to Santa why not head over to the Flowstate lawn area for some storytelling and crafts? Kids can make their own personal Koala crown, complete with a Santa hat.

5 – Chrissie lights photo opportunity
Immerse yourself in the twinkling fairy lights that are draped through the Arbour on the Little Stanley Street Lawns. The lights will create a wondrous visual experience from sunset, and of course a beautiful photo opportunity. Don’t forget your camera!
